This article doesn’t do the virus removal technique any justice at all. First, the average user, and even most geeks cannot identify the thousands of viruses by looking at a directory full of thousands of necessary system files. Secondly, you’re most likely not going to find a root kit from inside windows without additional third party software. Bottom line is, this article is pretty useless because of the myriad of different virus signatures, trojans, worms, and other malware out there. Also, it would be very easy for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing to erase system files with this method. Sorry, but this article is a disservice to people who are really trying to learn how to maintain their systems.
