This is a bullshit article. This quote "Linus talks in code and he doesn’t like if someone messes with his code." makes Torvalds out to be an awkward, whiny baby where 'his code' is concerned. The reality is he is acting as a gatekeeper for standards of quality in the most widely used, mission critical piece of software on the planet. When people do dumb things, like introducing compiler-specific magic functions, this damages the readability and maintainability of the codebase, thus making it more error-prone. How you missed this and instead spun the 'Oh, Linus is just crazy' line, is beyond me.
