Nevertheless, 3.5 jacks wear soon enought.
Picture then using the same port for charging, connecting headphones, transfering files, etc. Chances are the usb port will fail sooner than later.
To me it seems like another big steep forward planned obsolecense.

You can get absolutely beatiful sound quality out of a 3.5mm jack and the means to build them is exceptionally cheap. This sounds more like they just want more expensive crap to sell. I’ll save my cash for things that actually do me some good.
