Mohammad Shayan DDos is something on open ports. A viable desktop client Linux does not have open ports.
The router does, though. The router must be toughen with good security, and it's not always Linux.

If you were to be directly connected to the internet with a cable, and you would have a desktop client Linux, you wouldn't be harmed by DDOSes.

Of course, unless someone DDOSes your ISP.
