Not sure if R&D is also 35% or more, but people think everything after $250 is profit. I'm guessing the profit on each phone is somewhere below $100.

Did you account for bribes in China? what about R&D costs? What about the biggest piece… Labor? What about marketing and operation costs? All this is a BOM list and approx cost per part in whatever quantities they order. As you see there are many more costs associated with producing anything!
