Google Might Release Android P Sooner Than Expected
I t seems like we are not the only ones who can’t wait on a mouth-watering treat. Google might be releasing Android P way sooner than expected.
Evan Blass, who has remained a trustful leaker in the mobile community, shared an image through his Twitter account , showcasing a calendar with Android P logo marked on August 20th.

Given that Android Oreo was released on August 21st, it’s quite possible that Google will release the new Android OS on the same day or even a day before as in this case. Besides, Google has always been very punctual about key releases, as seen in the past.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai first announced Android P in the Google I/O conference 2018 and the tech giant has been timely releasing Android P beta versions in the past months. Recently, saw Android P Developer Preview 5 which had some “final system behaviors” and few bug fixes, indicating Beta 4 likeliness to Android P final version.
While Google hasn’t released any official date, Android fans are desperately waiting to get Android P on their smartphone considering the new Navigation gestures , and revamped notification shade being few of the top features of Android P .
If we, in fact, see the release of Android 9.0 on August 20 th , we would also get to know the name of the latest dessert Google has packed for us. Last I heard, it was Android Pistachio , but I wonder if Google would name its new Android OS after a nut given that the previous Android versions were all desserts like Oreo, Nougat, Marshmallow, and Lollipop.
