And it’s being compressed by electromagnetic fields in order to fuse, which generates an excess of thermal energy… And then this extra energy is somehow used to maintain power to the magnets, with a bunch of energy left over, which will be sent out to power our televisions and electric cars?

How is that better than storage batteries that collect the energy produced by solar panels, wind and water turbines, a growing complex of systems that currently supplies a growing percentage of the world’s electricity?

I suspect large energy corporations want to monopolize energy production in general, as that is their bread and butter, their rice bowl, their reason for oppressing the stupid masses who continue to be mesmerized by this “science” and brainwashed into supporting these billion-dollar boondoggles called “fusion energy research”.

If anyone cared to crunch the numbers, they would find that fusion energy could not possibly ever compare in cost to currently available alternative energy sources that are growing in both quality and quantity.
