The "coding" being taught to kids at that young an age is nowhere nearly the same as the programmimg that is generally understood by the term. And, this is because they're essentially just learning how to input command by converting their logic to an easier version of input created for them. But, as they grow older what will they convert to machine- understood command if they have no logic to convert in the first place? The logic in the code is what's crutial and emphasis should be given to creating and bettering an environment conducive for developing skills helpful in that aspect which doesn't necessarily come from "coding" right from the get-go. There's no harm in introducing it the way they are at a young age but I'm just saying it's not that big a deal as they're making of it.
